Plot Summary:

Shahmeer’s life takes an unexpected turn when he meets Shibra at a wedding, drawn to her confidence and allure.

As Shahmeer disguises himself as the sweet Fazal Bakhsh, he embarks on a perfect scheme to win Shibra’s heart. Amidst family drama, hospital bills, and unexpected angels, their love story unfolds.

Soundtrack:

The original soundtrack of “Ishq Murshid” was released in November 2023. The lyrics were penned by Sabir Zafar, and Ahmed Zahahzeb composed and performed the song. Another original soundtrack, “Tera Mera Hai Pyar Amar,” was also released in November 2023. Ahmed Zahahzeb contributed to the lyrics, music, and performance of this track. The soundtrack gained immense popularity, and both the female version and an extended wedding verse of “Tera Mera Hai Pyar Amar” were also released.

Critical Reception:

The News International criticized the first episode for its “predictable” plot and “clichéd” characters. They also noted a lack of chemistry between the leads. A Reddit reviewer echoed similar sentiments, particularly panning Durefishan’s performance. Redbrick praised Bilal Abbas Khan’s effortless transition between two characters but found the female protagonist’s role clichéd and forgettable.

Ratings:

The 18th episode, which aired in February 2024, received a rating of 22.3 TRP, the highest for the network. The first episode garnered over 62 million views on YouTube.
